LULA Elevators

LULA (Limited Use / Limited Application) elevators are a smart alternative to full commercial elevators in low-rise buildings. They need less space and less construction, so architects and planners can fit them into renovations as well as new builds — a comfortable, accessible ride without the cost of a full commercial elevator.

Stairlifts

A stairlift is the lowest-cost way to get safely up and down the stairs. With many models to choose from, there's a stairlift for almost every staircase and budget. Seats and footrests fold up when not in use so others can still use the stairs. Stairlifts are also popular with churches and organizations that want to welcome aging members.

Vertical Platform Lifts

Wheelchair on stairs

Inclined Platform Lifts

Inclined platform lifts move wheelchair and scooter users up and down an existing staircase. The platform folds against the wall when it's not in use, so the stairs stay open for everyone. Because they carry heavier loads, they need solid structural support — we help plan for it early in the design.

Home convenience

Dumbwaiters

Dumbwaiters are invaluable for moving groceries, firewood and laundry from floor to floor — especially when the garage sits on a different level than the kitchen. They come in a range of sizes, capacities and cab finishes. Landing doors are usually built by your builder to match the home's cabinetry, and interlocks keep each door closed unless the dumbwaiter is at that floor.

Builders & Architects

Every elevator is unique — sizes, door configurations, finishes and drive systems all affect the space it needs. We provide typical "Work by Others" requirements for each type so builders and architects can plan early. Use the planning guides for initial design (not as final construction documents): hoistways are often a couple of inches larger in each direction, and pits are typically 10–12 inches. We're glad to help through planning and budgeting.

Lake & hillside lots

Hillside Trams

A hillside tram rides on a track that follows the slope from your house to the shoreline, so getting to the dock no longer means a long climb. We design each tram for the grade and length of your lot, install it, and handle seasonal service and repairs. Popular on Lake Coeur d'Alene, Hayden Lake, Lake Pend Oreille, Flathead Lake and Whitefish Lake.

Common questions

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. We'll come out for a free in-home (or on-site) consultation, measure, and give you a written quote.

Can you put an elevator in an existing home?

Often, yes. Several drive types and cab sizes make it possible to fit an elevator into many existing homes — a closet stack or an exterior hoistway are common options. We'll assess your home during the consultation.

Stairlift or home elevator — which is right for me?

A stairlift is the most affordable way to get up and down an existing staircase. A home elevator costs more but serves every floor, carries more, and works for wheelchairs. We'll help you weigh both based on your home and needs.

Do you service equipment you didn't install?

We have local technicians and can service many brands. Call us with the make and model and we'll let you know.
